History:

Conquistador Petroleum was formed by the Spear Brothers to manage mineral interests acquired from the Howell Spear Estate. Howell always held a fascination with the Spanish Inquisition (although no one ever expects one).

Today:

After the consolidation of 2010, leases from Conquistador were assigned to Trabajo (working interest), Realeza (royalty) and Tierra (surface) to increase our efficiency and further secure our assets.  We didn't lose a company, we gained three more.
